Denver Pride is Free For Festival Attendees

Not all Prides are free to the public. Denver Pride has been free and accessible for festival goers for 50 years. Sponsors not only support Denver Pride, but the also free programs at The Center On Colfax offered year-round.

We are proud to work with our sponsors to offer a free Denver Pride celebration and impactful year-round support and resources for our LGBTQ+ community and family. If you would like to learn more about how our sponsors support The Center, click here.

A few sponsorship opportunities are still available. Review our packet and submit your inquiries with Kris Sickles at ksickles@lgbtqcolorado.org.

How Sponsorship Supports Colorado’s LGBTQ+ Community

$2,500

Too often, organizations lack the funding to invest in LGBTQ+ cultural humility training and consulting services. $2,500 supports access to a school or youth-serving organization to receive 8-hours — a full day — of LGBTQ+ affirming training, making spaces throughout Colorado more welcoming for all.

$5,000

In 2024, $5,000 supported the inception of the LGBTQ LifePlan series which has helped over 45 community members learn how to prepare for the end of the rainbow. This program requires thoughtful partnerships, marketing, outreach, and staff who are able to engage with difficult topics with empathy and expertise.

This is just one of the many programs that West of 50 facilitates in response to community interest that helps LGBTQ+ elders to navigate a changing environment and develop needed skills to remain independent.

$7,500

A $7,500 Denver Pride sponsorship covers event costs for The Center’s annual Transgender Day of Visibility celebration, which helps connect over 200 members of Colorado’s transgender community each year. In a time when the transgender community is undergoing legislative attacks and hostile attitudes, this day sheds light on the beauty, joy, and strength that is often underrepresented in our media and in our minds, making space for trans joy.

$10,000

A $10,000 sponsorship can support the development and empowerment of future LGBTQ+ leaders. Through opportunities to engage and network with leading LGBTQ+ organizations and conferences, young adults in the Saga program gain powerful lived experiences, valuable connections, and confidence in their identities and voices. Since the program’s inception in January of 2023, 18 members have found employment, 2 previously unhoused members acquired housing, and 8 members started secondary school.

$15,000

A $15,000 contribution to Denver Pride can pays for Rainbow Alley’s annual Summer Academy. During two week-long sessions, 40 LGBTQ+ youth have the opportunity to embark on adventures, engage with education, and try new experiences. Summer Academy hosts local artists, writers, and other creatives to help the youth develop new skills or explore their interests. Mental health needs are also discussed, and youth are provided with resources that can be used within and beyond the doors of Rainbow Alley.

$20,000

On average, a single therapy session in Colorado costs $150. And while LGBTQ+ adults are more likely than heterosexual adults to suffer from substance use disorder and mental health concerns, 22% of LGBTQ+ adults live in poverty compared to 16% of heterosexual adults, making life-saving mental healthcare often financially inaccessible for our community. A $20,000 sponsorship of Denver Pride can support 200 hours of free therapy sessions through Glass Lawler Mental Health, expanding access to affirming and culturally-informed mental health care for LGBTQ+ adults. Since its launch in 2023, the program has already served over 50 adults in individual and group therapy settings, with demand for services only growing.
