The Denver Pride 5K is more than just a race—it’s a powerful way for supporters of The Center on Colfax to make a difference in the lives of Colorado’s LGBTQ+ community. This event serves as a crucial fundraiser, enabling us to provide free essential services, programs, and activities to LGBTQ+ individuals and our allies year-round. This year we are excited to increase our size to 4,000 racers!

Pride 5K Course Map

Registration and festivities for the Denver Pride 5K begin at 8:00 am Saturday, June 28 on Lincoln between Colfax and 14th, just west of the State Capitol. The race goes on 14th to Cheesman Park and back. The route will not change from years past, as it is not affected by the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Race packets may be picked up at The Center on Colfax (1301 E. Colfax Ave, Denver, CO, 80218) from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, June 20. Your bib will be assigned to you at the time of pickup. While day-of pickup is available, we strongly recommend picking up your packet beforehand to save time due to long lines. Please note that we cannot hold personal items during the race, and packets are not available after the event to be picked up or mailed to past participants.

If you are unable to pick up your packet, we do allow others to pick up your packet for you. All they will need to provide is your first and last name.

If you’ve earned a prize, congratulations! Depending on your prize, your pick up location will be at one of the designated tents at Denver PrideFest when it opens at 11 AM. We will provide more details about pick up locations once prizes are announced.

Please collect your prize(s) during the event on Saturday, June 28, as we cannot store items after this date.

You can create a fundraising team and include all team members when registering yourself. Although all members can be registered at once, each team member will receive an email to sign a waiver individually before the race.

Yes! We welcome all who want to run, walk, roll, or sashay at our event. All we ask is that you bring your stroller along the route with you; it cannot be left unattended.

We strongly discourage bringing any pets to all Denver Pride events due to the extreme heat. Although we love our furry friends, we have experienced too many overheated pups over the years and prefer that they support with their rainbow capes at home!

Yes! All participants 5 and older will receive a t-shirt with their registration fee.

Programs for LGBTQ+ Youth

Rainbow Alley provides a safe, brave space where youth can be their true selves! Youth participate in fun daily activities and special events, while having access to free mental health counseling, support groups, and LGBTQ-specific health information.

Targeted Outreach and Services

Older adult & transgender folks in our community face increased barriers – including isolation and financial challenges – to living happy, healthy lives. We provide support groups, resource referrals, engaging learning opportunities, and home visits to stay connected.

Improved Health and Wellness

The Center on Colfax offers free HIV/STI testing, PreP education, healthcare insurance navigation, sliding-scale mental health counseling, and yoga classes. We partner with other organizations to provide monthly learning opportunities that empower our community to manage their health.

Building a Bright Future

To address systemic barriers facing the LGBTQ community, our therapist trainings cultivate affirming providers, while Range Education helps businesses build inclusive policies and systems, solve common LGBTQ+ related workplace issues, & maintain legal compliance.
